What I Use My Belt Bag For

TOP: Zara  |  JEANS: Asos  |  BELT BAG: H&M (similar)  |  SNEAKERS: Target           I have always been an advocate for belt bags or fanny packs, ever since I was little.  They are so convenient.  Over the years I have heard a lot of people kind of laugh at them.  Honestly, I don’t understand.  I don’t think they look funny at all.  I don’t even wear them ironically.  My opinion of the people that laugh at them is that if they think something so simple is strange, then they must have no imagination or creativity at all.  They are so convenient and cute.  I got this…

    The World is Your Oyster

TOP: Tee and Cake   |  CARDIGAN: Forever 21  |  JEANS: H&M  |  BACKPACK: Ted Baker London  |  SNEAKERS: Ked’s  |  HEADBAND: H&M           I came across this t-shirt while shopping at Nordstrom Rack.  I instantly wanted it because not only do I love it, but I actually made something really similar in the past but never finished it.  I hand-embroidered a clam and sewed a pearl inside but I never got around to doing anything with it.  I’d never seen anything like it so I was super excited to see the same thing in a store.  I also really love the phrase “the world is your oyster”.  It was…

    Palm Print Pants

PANTS: H&M  |  TOP: J.C. Penny  |  BACKPACK: Sole Society  |  SNEAKERS: Target  |  NECKLACE: H&M  |  SUNGLASSES: T.J. Maxx (similar)           I found these pants at H&M a few months ago.  They are super comfortable because they are really lightweight and stretchy.  They are perfect to wear when it isn’t super hot out, but not too chilly.  I love the print as well.  I’ve been wanting something with a palm print for a while.  Before I went to Hawaii on my honeymoon I was looking for something with a similar print, but couldn’t find anything.  The week I got home, H&M had a ton of things with…

How to Take Your Own Engagement Pictures

DRESS: ASTR the Label  |  SANDALS: Forever 21           If you’re like me and don’t like to pay somebody to do something that you can do yourself, this post may be for you.  My fiancé and I have been planning our wedding and we are doing a lot of DIY’s, including taking our own photos.  Hiring a photographer for all of the wedding-related things can cost thousands.  Even an engagement session can cost several hundred dollars.  We decided that instead of hiring a photographer, we were going to buy a nice camera and take our own photos.  It’s not as difficult as it sounds.  Maybe these photos aren’t…

    Returning to Pelican Cove Park

T-SHIRT: Forever 21 |  JEANS: Asos  |  SHOES: Target  |  SUNGLASSES: T.J. Maxx           Today my fiancé and I went for a walk at Pelican Cove Park in Ranchos Palos Verdes.  This was our fourth time there.  I think it’s my favorite local spot to go hiking because it is so beautiful.  There is a trail along the coast with a cave at the end.  It also has a lighthouse, trails through a cactus farm, tide pools, and a beach.  It’s just a really nice spot to spend some time.  We’ve been doing a lot of little day trips lately because we have been looking for spots to…

    Pelican Cove Park

CARDIGAN: Forever 21  |  BACKPACK:  Primark           Since moving to Southern California, we have been trying to explore the surrounding areas and find all of the fun things to do.  I think there is literally so much to do that I could live here the rest of my life and never get bored.  Yesterday we went to Pelican Cove Park, which is about a half hour from my apartment.  It’s just a little ocean front park with hiking trails and a rocky shoreline.  There are some tide pools with lots of marine life and a sea cave (which we never found).  We saw pelicans and seagulls,…
