    Valley of Fire State Park

Like I said in my last post, me and my husbands 2 year wedding anniversary was earlier this week.  To celebrate we went on a little road trip to Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada.  Neither one of us had ever been and it was high on my list of places in the U.S. to visit.  Let me explain why I wanted to check it out so badly. It looks beautiful and has amazing rock formations There are lots of short, easy hikes that aren’t boring.  Most of the trails are around one mile long so you can do all of them without it…

    Back to Zion National Park

TOP: T.J. Maxx  |  SHORTS: Target(available in store)          The third National Park we visited on our trip to Utah was Zion.  I’ve been a few times but it was too conveniently located to pass up.  We also went to Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon.  Zion is pretty close to those parks.  We also stopped at Dixie National Forest but I won’t be doing a post about that because I don’t have enough photos.  We only spent a few hours here because half of the park was closed to anybody who doesn’t have a shuttle pass.  Dogs aren’t allowed on the shuttle so we couldn’t get…

    Bryce Canyon National Park

TOP: T.J. Maxx  |   SHORTS: H&M  |   NECKLACE: Forever 21           If you saw my last post from Capitol Reef National Park, you will know that I recently got back from Utah.  The second stop that we made was Bryce Canyon National Park.  I have been here one other time in my life, when I was younger.  I always remembered it being such a cool park and thought highly of it.  After visiting again, I have decided it’s definitely in my top 5 favorite National Parks.  Since we brought my dog, we didn’t do much hiking.  Also, it was about 100 degrees.  But…

    2 Days in Big Sur

If you saw my last post, you probably know that My husband and I went to Big Sur last weekend.  We haven’t gone anywhere in almost a year.  Obviously, that’s because of the pandemic.  We had a trip to Japan planned for March but had to cancel.  We were planning on celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary there.  The reason we initially thought we had to cancel is because our layover was in China.  Little did we know that we wouldn’t be able to even leave the country.  We planned a series of back up trips that all fell through, of course.  Then we booked airfare…

    Big Bear in the Summer

TOP: H&M (still available in stores)  |  JEANS: Asos |  BAG: Walmart  |  SUNGLASSES: Zero U.V.        This past weekend we went back to Big Bear Lake.  It’s one of those places that i’ve wanted to bring my future dog to.  Now that I have one, we can take him.  It’s a little mountain town, surrounding a lake in southern California.  We have been there twice before, once in winter and once and once in fall.  It’s nice because the weather actually changes there so if we want to remember what seasons feel like, we can go.  There are a bunch of hiking trails around the lake and in the mountains, a cute downtown with shops…

    Yosemite National Park Road Trip

Camped for the first two nights in Mammoth Lakes, at Old Shady Rest Campground.  Driving into Yosemite Toulumne Meadows: We spotted a coyote, some elk, and prairie dogs.  The Coyote was hunting the prairie dogs and they were all calling to each other.   This lake was steaming from the freezing morning temperatures.  It looked so pretty.  Hiking to upper Yosemite Falls.  We saw the lower falls and it was very tiny because there hasn’t been a lot of rain so we didn’t hike all the way to the upper falls, just part of the way.   Hiking the Mist Trail.  It’s been voted one of the best hikes in…
