Casual Valentine’s Day

I stumbled across this top a few weeks ago at T.J.Maxx. I instantly was drawn to it because of the scallops and color. After picking it up I noticed that it’s suede. Suede was very popular this Fall/Winter and I didn’t find anything I actually wanted to buy, even though I love suede. This shirt is just so “me” that I couldn’t leave it behind. I knew I could wear it for Valentine’s Day too (because it’s pink, of course). The actual brand is Monteau Los Angeles. I own two other pieces by this label already, both of them are scalloped. I really need to break my scallops obsession.
For Valentine’s Day this year I think I’m just going to buy a heart shaped pizza and some candy, and celebrate by eating all of the festive things. I feel like Valentine’s day can be a very awkward holiday because of all of the mixed signals and expectations of people. I’m usually only concerned about what candy I’m eating and if my boyfriend is next to me, lol. However pathetic it may sound, this has always been one of my favorite holidays. It’s not really because of the cheesy love aspect though. I think it’s just because I love the colors of Valentine’s day and it’s kind of the first little sign of Spring.

I just loved seeing your Valentine’s Day party pictures. Truly, you had a wonderful day. The decorations look outstanding. You just reminded me of our Valentine’s Day. We enjoyed that day a lot at one of our favorite event venues in Chicago. Anyways, keep sharing such posts!
