If you know me, you will probably know that I love gardens and am always on the lookout for a new one to visit.  I’m not really sure when my love for gardens began but I can say that it goes back as far as I can remember.  Luckily, there is an insane amount of them in Southern California.  That is one thing I really love about living here.  Gardens and parks are everywhere and no snow to kill the flowers.  I recently found the Niguel Botanical Preserve on google maps and wanted to go.  We decided check it out today because the weather wasn’t too hot. It’s nice because it’s free and allows dogs, two things that are the most appealing to me right now.  I have mentioned before but we are always looking for places to take Luca (my dog).  Overall, it’s a really nice park with lots of walking paths.  There are a lot of little separate areas and it has that “secret garden” feel that I am always seeking.  We will definitely be returning in the future.

I chose to wear this midi/maxi dress that I have had for ages.  I actually wore it in a previous blog post about a year and a half ago (in Malibu) but my SD card broke and I lost the photos.  I actually haven’t worn it since because I kept tripping on it that day and wanted to alter it.  I added a slit up the side and made it a bit more “midi.”  It was just too long and straight and didn’t have much room for walking.  I love the color and print and am excited to get more wear out of it.  It’s the kind of style that will be in fashion for a long time.  I just paired it with this necklace, back pack, and cool wiggly sandals.
