Great Park Balloon Ride

SWEATER: H&M | PANTS: H&M | BOOTS: Sam Edelman | BAG: Kurt Geiger
Have you always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon? That is definitely on my bucket list but I haven’t gotten around to it because of the price. A while ago when my husband was looking into hot air balloon rides for my birthday he came across the Great Park Balloon Ride, in Irvine (California). Ever since then I have been wanting to ride on it. It is a gigantic helium balloon that takes you 400 feet off the ground. It’s tethered, of course. The best part about it is that it’s free to ride! You just need to get in line and fill out a document online and get a ticket. It’s only open Thursday through Sunday and I’ve heard weekend can get so crowded that you might not even get to ride. We went on a Thursday and there was hardly anybody there. We went right when it opened and there was just us and 6 other people. I recommend checking it out if you are going to be in Southern California and want free activities to do.
I chose to wear this really thick pink sweater from H&M. I’ve been wearing this sweater so much lately because I am obsessed with the color. It’s so thick that I don’t even need to wear a jacket over it. Also, I can’t even fit a jacket over it so if it’s actually really cold I can’t wear it. I just paired it with my beige mom jeans. I love the color combo. I am using my new Kurt Geiger bag that I got for my birthday. I am also obsessed with this bag. I thing it is so beautiful. The hardware is super amazing as well.
