Love Beauty and Planet Shampoo Bar Review

          I’ve been wanting to test out a shampoo bar for a very long time.  I’ve never used one before.  I love the idea of them and think they are a really smart concept for the environment. It eliminates the need for a plastic shampoo bottle.  I have been shopping around for one and all of the previous ones that I saw were too expensive.  This one from Love Beauty and Planet was $5, at Target.  I decided to give it a shot.  I have tried other products from this brand before and liked them for the most part.  

          I used this bar for about a month.  I wash my hair maybe 2-4 times per week.  I think I did wash it more while using this shampoo because it left my hair pretty greasy.  This shampoo is sulfate-free and my hair wasn’t used to sulfate-free shampoo.  I have never really found a sulfate-free shampoo that I liked because my hair just always feels and looks greasy after using it.  Your hair is supposed to adjust to it but I think mine takes much longer than the average person’s.  Because of that reason I can’t really recommend this shampoo.  I really wanted to love it but I honestly didn’t.  It just always made my hair feel stiff and dry.  Once it dried it just looked greasy.  I think if you are used to using sulfate-free shampoo than you should give this one a shot because I liked everything else about it.  It’s affordable, cute shape, smells good, recycled packaging, and other good ingredients.  It also lathers really well.  I did pair it with Love beauty and planet conditioner, just to be clear.  I will continue to use it so I don’t waste it and then probably look for a shampoo bar that is not sulfate-free.  What about you, have you tried this product or any other shampoo bar?
