McWay Falls, Fancy Fashion Castle

This past weekend my fiancé and I went on a little getaway to Big Sur. I have been a couple of times in the past but we wanted to go back because we are thinking of getting married there next year. We were basically visiting the state parks and locations that you can get married at. McWay Falls at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park was the first one we visited, and the one we were pretty sure we were going to choose. After checking out all the other spots, we are not so sure because they are all beautiful. I am going to post a part two of this trip, talking about the other spots we went to.

This trip wasn’t so perfect and almost got canceled. Within the first two hours of our drive a drunk driver hit my car from behind and caused a collision with several other drivers (which also hit my car). Basically, my car got totaled. It was my first ever car accident and honestly terrifying. I didn’t know what happened in the moment because I didn’t see the car coming. He was traveling at around 100mph, by the way. Me and my fiancé were somehow uninjured for the most part. We had to rent a car to get home so we decided not to cancel our trip because we would lose the money from our hotel bookings. We didn’t want to have to pay to take the whole trip over again so we just continued on our way. I am so glad we did because it was tons of fun despite our bodies being pretty sore.
