Road Trip Outfit
This past two days were spent in Big Sur. We drove to Monterey on Friday and got back home in L.A. on Saturday. We left at 6am Friday just to ensure we had enough time to stop at all of the fun places. We have been several times before so it was plenty of time for us. If you have never been, I recommend spending at least 3 days on this trip, especially if you are going to stop at State Parks. I might do another post with some more photos but I have done other posts from Big Sur so there may be repeat scenery. This one is mostly about my outfit.
I recently realized that I need another pair of shorts because many of mine are just too short. I don’t know if it’s because I gained weight or maybe just because I’m getting older, but I really don’t feel comfortable in super short shorts anymore. I found these at Target right before we left. They have a super cute waistline. I love how they are kind of a paper-bag waist. The color is so neutral that it goes with anything as well. They were on sale for $12 but I didn’t realize until I got to the register, so that was a nice surprise. I paired them with this neck scarf that I have been wanting for so long. It’s from H&M and I’ve had my eye on it for around 8 months. I occasionally see people wear them around their neck like this and it looks so cute in my opinion. It can also be worn in your hair. Really, there are endless ways to wear these scarves. I just love how it feels a little more vintage tied like this. Do you have little scarves like this? If so, how do you style them?
