Summer to Fall Transitional Floral

          When I first paired these two items together I wasn’t initially thinking of fall.  I just thought the skirt went well with the top because of the colors.  Later on I realized that it makes a really nice fall transitional outfit.  Here in Southern California it gets really hot in the fall so I like to wear more transitional outfits.  It’s cooler in the mornings and evening and gets hot during the day.  I like to wear layers and mix summer pieces with darker colors.  I feel like this outfit works really well because the skirt and shoes are black.  The floral top is a darker color combination with the background being black.  The bag just matches really well because it’s black and has green and white flowers.  It works because I can wear this in warmer weather but with the darker colors it feels more autumnal. I feel like floral is kind of controversial to wear in the fall but if the colors are deeper I usually love the look.  

          This whole outfit was super inexpensive. I found the t-shirt for $2 at H&M recently.  The bag was marked down to only $10 from Lulu’s a few years ago.  The shoes were also on sale, probably around $10.  I got the skirt from a Zaful collaboration so I thankfully didn’t pay for it.  Lastly, the earrings were from a Nordstrom Rack sample sale and were only $1!  I love shopping sales and clearance.  You can get so much more and still save a ton of money.
