    Another Gingerbread House

              I made a gingerbread house from scratch this year.  The only other time I’ve done it was in 2020.  I most likely wouldn’t be blogging about it but I don’t have any other blog posts planned at the moment.  Making gingerbread houses is super fun because it’s almost like playing architect, but with cookies.  When I was younger there was a brief period of time where I wanted to be an architect as my profession.  It’s something that I am still interested in, to some degree.  I’m not saying that gingerbread houses are anything like real houses, it’s just fun to design.      …

    Baking a Homemade Gingerbread House

              I’ve wanted to make a homemade gingerbread house for as long as I can remember.  I figured it would be too difficult, so I never tried.  I have made countless pre-baked, boxed gingerbread houses but you can only do so much with those.  They are so limiting.  They don’t taste very good either.  I think I have officially outgrown them and moved on to the next level of gingerbread house making.  I loved this whole process so much that I think I want to make it a new Christmas tradition.  My husband is really happy about this new tradition as well because he can’t stop…

    Fairy Cookies

              I made these cookies for my husband’s birthday, after making them one other time before.  He loves them and ate them all in two days.  I kind of came up with the idea myself, although I’m sure I am not the first one to do it.  I found a basic no-roll sugar cookie recipe online and modified it a bit.  A lot of recipes have you roll the cookies in sugar as the last step but I thought it would be fun to roll them in a mixture of colored sugar and sprinkles instead.  You can use any sprinkles you want to.  I just found…
