Camping at Jumbo Rocks Campground, Joshua Tree
My husband and I went on a little camping trip this past weekend to Joshua Tree National Park. We have been several times but have only camped there once before. The first time was such a memorable and amazing experience because we went on a night when the sky was clear and the moon was dim. The stars were absolutely insane. This time around I really wanted to stay at Jumbo Rocks campground, which is the coolest campground in the park. In my opinion, it’s one of the coolest campgrounds in the country. It’s full of giant boulders and the sites are nestled between them.…

Camping in Sequoia National Forest
This past weekend I went camping in Sequoia National Forest. We (my husband and I) stayed at Quaking Aspen Campground. We hadn’t been to that campground before but I highly recommend it. It was really nice for a national property campground. Normally they are pretty minimal. This one doesn’t have showers but it was still really nice. We visited Sequoia National Park a few years ago and I had been wanting to go camping somewhere. Since the National Forest allows dogs on trails we decided to go there. Normally National Parks don’t allow dogs on trails but National Forests usually do. I love the feel…

Camping at Picacho Peak State Park, AZ
This past weekend my husband, dog, and I went on a short camping trip to southern Arizona. We had been wanting to take our dog camping for the first time and it’s been too cold in California. We camped at Picacho Peak State Park. We spent the first day exploring that park and the second day in Saguaro National Park. Camping at Picacho Peak is really nice. The campground itself was very clean and has fire pits, showers, and electric. It’s nice because you can make reservations in advance. I usually have to stay at a place that allows…

Yosemite National Park Road Trip
Camped for the first two nights in Mammoth Lakes, at Old Shady Rest Campground. Driving into Yosemite Toulumne Meadows: We spotted a coyote, some elk, and prairie dogs. The Coyote was hunting the prairie dogs and they were all calling to each other. This lake was steaming from the freezing morning temperatures. It looked so pretty. Hiking to upper Yosemite Falls. We saw the lower falls and it was very tiny because there hasn’t been a lot of rain so we didn’t hike all the way to the upper falls, just part of the way. Hiking the Mist Trail. It’s been voted one of the best hikes in…

Kings Canyon National Park
Can you see the black bear to the left? The cub is a few feet behind, but behind a tree. TOP: Forever 21 | CARDIGAN: Forever 21 | JEANS: Forever 21 | SUNGLASSES: T.J. Maxx | BACKPACK: Primark We spent Sunday at Kings Canyon National Park. I’d never been there and it’s such a pretty park. It’s right next to Sequoia. The mountains there are super tall (around 11,000 ft.). It has valleys, waterfalls, and other unique sites. We didn’t have a lot of time to hike because the road into the park is super long and curvy. On one of the trails a…

Cozy Grey Sweater at Sequoia National Park
SWEATER: H&M | JEANS: Forever 21 | BACKPACK: Primark This past weekend we (me and my fiancé) decided to go on a little road trip camping trip to Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon National Park. It was a super last minute decision. We decided to go on Friday and Left Saturday morning at 6am. I just got a new car (blog post here) and wanted to take it on a little trip. Sequoia is about a 4 hour drive from Los Angeles. It’s the perfect little weekend destination to get away from city life. That’s what I love about living in California is that there are…
