Have You Heard of Golden Valley Ranch Open Space?

Golden Valley Ranch Open Space is a large open area that you can hike in Santa Clarita, California.  I found it on Google Maps one day and it looked amazing because of all of the green fields and hills.  Me and my husband visited it one time last spring, thinking it would be green but all the grass was already brown.  Ever since then, I have been wanting to return during winter.  In California, in winter it normally rains a lot and everything gets super vibrant.  We went back this past weekend because we have been getting so much rain lately.  As you can see, the hills are…

    Red Rock Canyon Park, Malibu

Red Rock Canyon Park is a nice park, tucked away in the mountains in Malibu.  I didn’t know it was there for several years, but recently discovered it on Google Maps.  I’m always looking for new places to hike.  What I really like about this park is the color of the rocks and how it feels out of place.  It feels kind of like you are in Utah or something.  There are so many parks around the world with the name Red Rock Canyon so I’m going to show you exactly where it is.  A lot of parks in Malibu are hard to find.  It’s…

    Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada

SWEATER: T.J. Maxx  |  JEANS: H&M  |  SNEAKERS: Puma I was finally able to visit Banff National Park, Canada recently.  I’ve been wanting to go for several years.  It exceeded my expectations and was so amazing.  We spent one day there.  We saw Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, and hiked to Lake Agnes.  I think Moraine lake was my favorite. It’s a bit of a brighter blue than the famous Lake Louise and the mountains surrounding it are just so tall and jagged.  I would have loved to have more time because there were more hikes I wanted to do but we were on a tight schedule.  I would also like…

    Travel Graphic Tees

TEE: Target  |  SHORTS: Target  |  SNEAKERS: Ked’s  |  SUNGLASSES: Zero U.V.  |  BACK PACK: Sole Society          Do you love graphic travel-themed t-shirts too? I just feel like they are an interesting casual clothing item.  I love how you can dress them up or dress them down.  You can find them from so many places as well.  I love getting them as souvenirs because they bring back happy memories and generally don’t cost too much.  I am not opposed to getting them from chain stores or regular shopping places if I have visited the place on the tee.             I got…

    Vasquez Rocks

This was my second time visiting Vasquez Rocks.  It’s such a cool little park, just outside L.A.  If the rock formations look familiar, that’s probably because you have seen them in a movie or commercial.  This is a popular filming location for a ton of things.  I won’t list everything but here is a bit more about that.  There have been hundreds of things filmed here.             It’s a really beautiful area surrounded by mountains and canyons, with jagged rocks sticking out all over.  There aren’t necessarily trails that you have to follow.  You can go pretty much anywhere.  you…

First Day of Summer at Kenneth Hahn Park

TOP: Thrifted (Acemi)  |  JEANS: H&M  |  SNEAKERS: Target  |  BACKPACK: Ted Baker London  |  SUNGLASSES: Zero UV (similar)           Today my husband, puppy, and I went back to the Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area to hike some of the trails.  Last time we went there we did everything else.  Check out my first post if you want to know what else there is to do.  We thought it would be a fun thing to do on the first day of summer.  It’s not warm enough to go to the beach.  It was pretty crowded because of Father’s Day but it was still super fun.  I wore this top that I thrifted.  I picked…

What I Wore: Hollywood Reservoir Hike

T-SHIRT: H&M  |  JEANS: Asos  |  SNEAKERS: Target  |  BACKPACK: Primark  |   SUNGLASSES: Zero UV (similar)           I’ve been wanting to blog this t-shirt because I think it is so cute!  I had my eye on it for so long and then it went on sale at H&M.  I’m pretty sure I got it for only $6! I like how it just says “Saturday” and has a vintage feel.  I think it works really well paired with my mom jeans because they have a high waistline and this top is cropped.  It’s no longer available online but you may be able to find it in store.      …

    Exploring in Eyelet

TOP: H&M (in store)  |  JEANS: H&M  |  BOOTS: Primark            I’ve been doing a lot of H&M sale rack shopping lately.  I am on a super tight budget with my wedding and honeymoon coming up and H&M always has a big selection of really affordable stuff.  I recently found this beautiful cotton top.  It actually reminds me a lot of the blouse I am wearing in this post (also from H&M).  I seriously love everything about it.  The volume, the fabric, and the color.  I am always drawn to a pretty white shirt.  The eyelet fabric is so feminine and lightweight.             Today we…

    Kings Canyon National Park

Can you see the black bear to the left? The cub is a few feet behind, but behind a tree.   TOP: Forever 21  |  CARDIGAN: Forever 21  |  JEANS: Forever 21  |  SUNGLASSES: T.J. Maxx  |  BACKPACK: Primark           We spent Sunday at Kings Canyon National Park.  I’d never been there and it’s such a pretty park.  It’s right next to Sequoia.  The mountains there are super tall (around 11,000 ft.).  It has valleys,  waterfalls, and other unique sites.  We didn’t have a lot of time to hike because the road into the park is super long and curvy.  On one of the trails a…

Cozy Grey Sweater at Sequoia National Park

SWEATER: H&M  |  JEANS: Forever 21  |  BACKPACK: Primark           This past weekend we (me and my fiancé) decided to go on a little road trip camping trip to Sequoia National Park and Kings Canyon National Park.  It was a super last minute decision.  We decided to go on Friday and Left Saturday morning at 6am.  I just got a new car (blog post here) and wanted to take it on a little trip.  Sequoia is about a 4 hour drive from Los Angeles.  It’s the perfect little weekend destination to get away from city life.  That’s what I love about living in California is that there are…
