New Pomeranian Puppy!
About 3 weeks ago me and my husband decided to bring a new Pomeranian puppy into the family. We have one other dog, also a Pomeranian. We had been wanting another dog basically since we got our first dog. He hates being alone and we wanted a little friend for him. We both love Pomeranians. They are such cute, spunky, and smart dogs. They are just so adorable. There are so many perks to having small dogs. I grew up with big dogs and didn’t really realize how amazing it is to have a small one. We named our…

New Home Decor: Part 5
PILLOWS: World Market (may be available in stores, sold out online) I originally only bought one of these for the bed but I decided I like it better on the couch so I got another one. They are too big for the bed and match the living room rug better. LARGE BASKET: Ikea (available in store) | 3 SET: Ikea I got this larger basket to put plastic bags in and the smaller one has protein bars. The smaller basket came in a set of three. The other two are below. SCRATCH MAP: Waypoint Wanders | PICTURE FRAME: Target I’ve been wanting a scratch map for many years and…

Fairy Cookies
I made these cookies for my husband’s birthday, after making them one other time before. He loves them and ate them all in two days. I kind of came up with the idea myself, although I’m sure I am not the first one to do it. I found a basic no-roll sugar cookie recipe online and modified it a bit. A lot of recipes have you roll the cookies in sugar as the last step but I thought it would be fun to roll them in a mixture of colored sugar and sprinkles instead. You can use any sprinkles you want to. I just found…

My Plant Collection
Aloe: This one is doing pretty well but it does loose a leaf every once in a while. Bamboo: This bamboo has changed very little since I got it. It may have gotten slightly bigger but I’m not even sure. The leaves will get a little brown on the ends. Polka-Dot-Plant: This one looked totally different when I first got it. The leaves were very pink. A bunch of them fell off and it started to grow longer and more like a vine. I’m not really sure if it’s happy or not. Lily: I think this is a peace lily but I’m not 100% sure. It lost all…

New Home Decor: Part 4
SWAN PLANTER: Rite Aid I found this swan planter at the drug store. It was on sale and I couldn’t pass it up because it’s so cute! I really didn’t need it, just wanted it. WALL HOOK: Target I saw this online at Target and thought it would be so perfect to hang near the door. We hang our keys and Luca’s (my dog) leash and harness on it. It’s really cute and convenient. BASKET: Home Goods I really needed something to hold all of Luca’s toys. I wanted a basket but something that…

We Got a New Puppy!
First time to the beach (just walked on the path) First proper walk My husband and I have been looking for a Pomeranian puppy for a couple of weeks. I’ve been wanting a dog since we moved to California two years ago. We moved recently and made sure to get a new place that allows pets. We had planned to go to Japan right now for our first year wedding anniversary (March 29th) but obviously that trip got canceled. Instead, we wanted to celebrate our anniversary with a new family member. We thought it would be the perfect way to celebrate. We found him on…

What I Do for My Anxiety
In honor of Mental Health Day (Oct. 10th) I decided to talk about my anxiety. I have hesitated to do this because these days it seem like everybody struggles with anxiety and I feel like it looks like I am just hopping on the bandwagon. I didn’t want people to think that I am just talking about it to get attention or playing it up to be more than it is. Honestly, it has gotten a lot better over time and that is because I have gotten better at managing it. I really wanted to share what I do to manage it. I used to be embarrassed by…

Fashionable Tips to Help the Environment
1. Wash your clothes in cold water and only when you really need to. Most of the energy used to wash clothes is used to heat up the water. It saves energy to wash in cold. 2. Shop for used clothing first. Good spots to check out are local thrift stores, Poshmark, Depop, Plato’s Closet, Buffalo Exchange, Thredup, Ebay, and yard sales. 3. Choose well, and buy less. Find your personal style and try to stick to that instead of only following trends. This will lead to a wardrobe full of items that you love and want to hold onto, rather than constantly clearing things out. 4. Mend torn or…

Our Big Sur Elopement
If you’ve been keeping up with my blog or other social media accounts (Instagram), then you probably know that I just got married. My husband and I had been engaged since October, 2017, so we had a pretty long engagement. We wanted to take our time in planning and saving to pay for the wedding. I think A year and a half engagement period was perfect for us. We also didn’t want it to be as long as two years. Also, after trying on some dresses I knew I wanted to make my own. I had to have enough time to do that. I will…
