    Honest Review of Petite Dressing

I wore this scoop neck sweater to Santa Barbara for the day. It was a chilly day so I wanted to layer it with a mock neck underneath.  I paired it with my white jeans with a purple floral print.  The colors match really well.  This sweater is nice because you can wear it on warmer days or colder days.  The knit is an interesting design that has some gaps to let a breeze in, if you want to wear it on a warmer day.  When I received this sweater I was pleasantly surprised by the fabric.  It’s made from chenille yarn, so it’s super…

    3rd Street Promenade, Santa Monica

TOP: Target  |  SHORTS: Target  |  SANDALS: Walmart  |  BACKPACK: Sole Society           I feel like I hear a lot of people talk about The Grove, shopping mall.  It’s located in L.A.  There are so many good malls and shopping areas in the Los Angeles area that are so much better so I wanted to talk about a few of them.  I recently went back to 3rd Street Promenade in Santa, Monica which is a pretty good shopping street and mall.  There are some others as well but the Grove pales in comparison because there aren’t too many good stores, it’s always very crowded, and…

    Smocked Pinafore Dress

DRESS: Free People  |  SANDALS: Walmart  |  T-SHIRT: H&M           I found this dress recently and knew I had to have it.  I love pinafore dresses and smocking individually, but together it’s extra special.  I’ve never seen a dress like this.  It just feels so unique.  I think I need to hem it a bit after looking back at these photos, but It’s still so cute.  I wore it today in Solvang, CA.  My family took a little drive to Solvang and spent a lot of the day there.  I feel like this dress fit right in.  I love to dress for the destination.  If you…

    Floral Print Mom Jeans

JEANS: H&M  |  TOP: H&M  |  SNEAKERS: Puma  |  NECKLACE: Bauble Bar  |  BAG: Coach           I love these jeans! They are white floral mom jeans, if you can’t tell.  I needed jeans recently for work and could not pass these up.  They are from H&M.  While I am writing this post, they are still available in store.  I paired them with this cropped top, also from H&M.  I love the all white look.  I match my dog.  I got the top the day before I took these photos.  I have been seeing a lot of these tight cropped tops around lately and the style is…

    Floral Spring Top

JEANS: H&M  |  TOP: Japan  |  BAG: Primark  |  SANDALS: Walmart           I was in need of some new tops that I can wear to work recently so I went shopping.  I found this floral sprig top at T.J. Maxx.  The brand is Japna.  It’s a little on the small side but it was only $12 and was on sale so I got it.  I’m so glad that I did because the back is super stretchy so it’s actually really comfortable.  I love the print as well.  It’s super bright and I always love florals.  Obviously it is spring so there is no better time to…

    The Getty Villa

DRESS: Blu Pepper  |  SHOES: Lulu’s  |  BAG: Coach           Hello! It’s been a little while since I have written a blog post.  I got a new job and I’ve been really busy.  Two weeks ago me and my husband finally visited the Getty Villa for the first time.  I’ve been wanting to check it out since moving to L.A. over 4 years ago.  We have yet to visit the Getty Center, which is a different place.  Both are museums, but different types.  I loved seeing all of the old artifacts.  Some of them were so incredible and just shocking.  My favorite thing to see were…

    Midi Dress for Easter

DRESS: Lulu’s  |  SANDALS: Walmart  |  SUNGLASSES: Glik’s  |  BAG: Coach            This year for Easter I wore this fun midi dress.  Even though it’s not pastel colored or floral it reminds me of spring.  It makes me think of a picnic blanket, because of the plaid.  I try to wear a dress every year for Easter.  If you are going to dress up for any holiday I feel like Easter is the best one to because spring to me says “pretty dress.”  I wore this dress last year for Thanksgiving as well.  It’s very versatile.  I got it from Lulu’s a while ago in the…

Pink Midi Skirt from Blossom Brigade

SKIRT: Blossom Brigade (custom)  |  T-SHIRT: Zara  |  SHOES: Lulu’s  |  BAG: Target  |  SUNGLASSES: Zero U.V.           I’ve been designing a lot of new clothing pieces lately for my Etsy shop and for myself.  I’ve decided that now is the time that I really want to start working toward having my own clothing label.  I’ve had my shop (Blossom Brigade) for about 6 years now, but hardly ever add new items to it.  Around 5-6 years ago I was making some progress but then I put it on the back burner when I moved to California because I wanted to pursue designing for a…

    The Huntington Library and Gardens

DRESS: Blu Pepper  |  BOOTS: Circus by Sam Edelman  |  SUNGLASSES: Glik’s           Today I went to the Huntington Library and Gardens for a late birthday celebration.  I was planning to go on my birthday weekend but it was closed for some reason.  We went to Big Bear instead.  I still wanted to go to the botanical gardens because I went a year ago and loved it.  I have been wanting to return ever since.  I’m sure you know by now I am a huge garden lover and this one is massive.  If you like gardens too, you should check it out.      …

Day Trip to Big Bear Lake

SWEATER: T.J.Maxx  |  JEANS: H&M  |  SHOES: Puma  |  BAG: Coach           My birthday was this past weekend and I went to Big Bear for the day on Saturday.   I wanted to celebrate and see some fall leaves, since LA obviously doesn’t have many.  I think we have gone to Big Bear in the fall every year since living here.  I really miss changing leaves.  I can’t say I’m a fan of southern California autumns.  I chose to go to Big Bear because I didn’t want to go too late and miss the peak leaf time (which we kind of missed anyway).  I was planning…
