I know the 4th of July was two weeks ago, but I am just now blogging about it because of lack of internet and other posts that had to go up first.  I spent my Independence day in a few different places while on vacation.  During the day I was in Bayfield, Wisconsin, where I did some shopping, and eating.  The town is really cute and has a lot to offer.  In the morning, I took a boat tour around the Apostle Islands.  Later on in the evening I went to Duluth, Minnesota to see fireworks (the largest fireworks show in Minnesota).  I wore this new romper from H&M.  I love the print because it’s floral.  I can’t pass up a good floral print.
Apostle Islands National Lakeshore is a huge chain of Islands in Lake Superior.  They are much larger than they look on a map and cover a huge area.  There are 22 islands total.  The boat ride was amazing because we got to see a lot of the islands, and pull right up to the sea caves on Devil’s Island.  We were also able to see some bald eagles soaring over the trees.  Many of the islands have tons on black bear living on them.  I was hoping to get to see one, but we didn’t.  The captain told us that they have found bear cubs sleeping in bald eagle’s nests!
Duluth is where we watched fireworks.  I wasn’t sure what to expect from this city because I hadn’t heard much about it.  I must admit, I wasn’t very fond of the overall feeling from the city.  It was very old, dirty, and rundown.  I did really enjoy the waterfront area though.  I also saw one of the most impressive fireworks displays I had ever seen, maybe even better than Chicago’s.

Sorry, some of these pictures are fuzzy because my lens was dirty and I didn’t realize it.
