The Getty Villa

DRESS: Blu Pepper | SHOES: Lulu’s | BAG: Coach
Hello! It’s been a little while since I have written a blog post. I got a new job and I’ve been really busy. Two weeks ago me and my husband finally visited the Getty Villa for the first time. I’ve been wanting to check it out since moving to L.A. over 4 years ago. We have yet to visit the Getty Center, which is a different place. Both are museums, but different types. I loved seeing all of the old artifacts. Some of them were so incredible and just shocking. My favorite thing to see were the ancient coins.
A little bit of info for visiting:
- You need to make a reservation in advance.
- Entrance is free but parking is $20. If you visit the Getty Center on the same day you only have to pay for parking once.
- The museum hosts Greek and Roman Antiquities
I wore this midi dress that I bought a little over a month ago. I bought it for my trip to Hawaii and have only gotten to wear it once. I thought maybe I would feel too dressed up but almost every single female was wearing a midi dress or skirt. I’m not even exaggerating. I fit right in. It seems like a lot of people dress up to visit the Villa because it’s a popular photo location. It’s such a beautiful building. It’s understandable. One annoying thing about this dress is that it shrunk about two inches in length the first time I washed it. I don’t even know how that’s possible because I hand washed it and hung it to dry. I’m honestly really mad about it. I loved the length that it was before. It’s a lot more flattering on me. I won’t be buying anything else from this brand.
