Thrifted Embroidered Blouse

          Last weekend I went to Lake Balboa because I heard that in the springtime there are tons of cherry blossom trees that bloom around the lake. This wasn’t the case yet.  They weren’t in bloom at all.  It’s fine though because I want to go back soon.  It’s a really nice park and has a lot of things to do.  There is a huge field that my dog absolutely loved to run around in. There is also a dog park that I’d like to check out and an amazing looking Japanese garden.  I will probably go a few more times.  If you have been, let me know when the cherry blossoms normally bloom.  I am so interested to see them.  

          I am wearing this embroidered blouse that I thrifted in Phoenix.  It’s originally from Loft.  I think it is so nice.  I just love embroidery and white, intricate blouses.  They are especially nice for spring.  I can’t wait to break out my collection.  Haha, I have about 5, it’s not really a collection.  I really want to get back into thrifting.  I used to do it all the time when I was in college but somewhere along the lines I mostly stopped.  I think it’s because prices in stores seem to be going up, so it’s not always worth it.  It’s also because since moving to L.A., it has been difficult to find affordable stores.  It would be nice to do more thrifting when I travel.  I like the idea of buying pre-loved items in foreign countries and cities I haven’t been to.  It’s also good for the environment.  I like how when you are thrifting a clothing item you have no idea where it came from and nobody else is really wearing it.  It’s really fun.  

          I paired the embroidered blouse with these pants from H&M.  I got them for $3 last fall.  I really needed more comfortable pants.  I get tired of wearing jeans so often.  They are uncomfortable and too casual.  I made the mistake of drying these pants so I have barely worn them.  This is only the second time.  They don’t fit as well as when I first got them, sadly.  I am planning on flying to visit family soon and they seem like the perfect thing to wear on the plane.  I paired this outfit with my navy blue round bag and gold loafers.  I just really like the color combo of this outfit.  Let me know what you think.
