Visiting the Chicago Botanic Garden
The Chicago Botanic Gardens is a massive garden oasis that is split up into several smaller gardens. Each one has a different theme with different types of plants. I had never been before, which is kind of crazy because if you know me, you will know that I absolutely love gardens. I had actually never heard of it before until recently even though I live just outside Chicago. There is just so much to do in Chicago but I feel like this place gets overlooked. It’s also not very close to downtown. It was truly a magical experience. There are way too many pictures ahead (just a warning).
Visiting the Botanical Garden is one of my main travel recommendations for people visiting Chicago. In my opinion, it’s much better than going to Navy Pier, or The Bean. It’s pretty far outside the city but it is so worth the drive. We were there for around 5 hours and still didn’t see the whole garden. It’s split up into different sections and each one has different types of plants. My favorite gardens were the rose garden and the Japanese garden. Since we didn’t see everything I will be returning before the weather gets too cold. Stay tuned for a part two!
ROMPER: Zaful | SANDALS: Forever 21 | PURSE: Kate Spade (similar) | SUNGLASSES:
This romper that I wore is from Zaful. I love everything about it. It’s this pretty white fabric that is sheer with little dots. It has lace trim on the top and bottom that adds a lot of nice detail. My favorite aspect of it is the cold shoulder style, with the ties to keep it up. I just think it is so pretty. There are lots of Alice McCall vibes happening. I ordered a size up to be sure it fits and it ended up being a bit too big. Just so you know, it runs true to size.
